Teenage Riot is the brainchild of DJ and art director Kim, transporting you to the halcyon days of grunge, indie, pop, and punk rock. Play loud.
Trading mixtapes with school friends, learning guitar solos from ‘God Save The Queen’, getting schooled on punk, grunge, and indie music in his teenage years — all of that has helped shape Kim Wong’s musical style today.
Kim has always dreamt of forming a fashionable punk band solely to play in Saint Laurent fashion shows — obviously, that dream is as unattainable as contacting the aliens.
Teenage Riot was born out of that imagination, a one-man music machine entertaining an entire generation of indie punk rockers. No boundaries, no apologies, just play it loud.
He is a vinyl junkie, the founder of SG Vinyl Junkies Facebook interest group, art director, self-taught DJ/selector of TeenageRiot, and one half of TeenagePop. And, lastly, a hustler.
